Georgia Woman Amely Dominguez Arrested for Cocaine Trafficking in Mississippi

RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. (WLBT) — A Georgia woman, Amely Dominguez, was arrested by the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department after deputies discovered cocaine hidden in her vehicle.

The incident occurred when a deputy noticed a silver Chrysler 200 swerving between lanes on I-20 eastbound near the 66-mile marker. The deputy initiated a traffic stop and spoke with Dominguez, who consented to a search of the vehicle.

During the search, the deputy observed aftermarket modifications to the car’s bumpers, raising further suspicion. The vehicle and Dominguez were then taken to the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department Impound Lot for additional inspection.

Upon further examination, deputies found 18 packages of suspected cocaine concealed in compartments within the front and rear bumpers. Dominguez was arrested and charged with trafficking a controlled substance. She was subsequently transported to the Rankin County Detention Center.
