Police in Jharkhand’s Palamu district have arrested two men in connection with the murder of a 55-year-old woman, Vimla Devi, who was shot dead in her home on May 16.
The incident occurred at Baghmara Tola in Bahala, under the Chatarpur police station limits. The two accused, Gautam Kumar (23) and his relative Vinod Bhuiyan (35), were taken into custody on Monday, confirmed Superintendent of Police Reeshma Ramesan.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the motive behind the killing and whether others were involved.
