Garrett Hitchens Arrested for Multiple Thefts and Robbery in Wilmington

Garrett Hitchens, 34, of Wilmington, Delaware, was arrested on October 28, 2024, for multiple theft-related offenses, including robbery and organized retail theft. Between April and October 2024, Hitchens was linked to 21 shopliftings, totaling over $5,600 in stolen goods from businesses in the Prices Corner area, including Acme, Bath and Body Works, Target, and Walgreens. The case escalated to a robbery on August 17, 2024, when Hitchens threatened to kill an employee while fleeing Acme with stolen items. Hitchens was arrested after a trooper spotted him at Acme, and he was later charged with felony offenses, including robbery and organized retail theft. He was committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $15,002 secured bond.
