Gardnerville Man Arrested for Murder After Fatal Shooting

Gardnerville, NV – On Thursday, February 13, 2025, at around 10:20 p.m., Douglas County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) deputies responded to reports of gunshots heard by neighbors on Kingslane Court. Upon arrival, they discovered 27-year-old Charles Edward Wilkinson from Minden, who had succumbed to gunshot wounds.

Following their investigation, authorities identified Gary Allen Dillishaw, 25, from Carson City, as the prime suspect in the killing. Evidence indicated that Dillishaw had fled the scene in a white 2009 Honda Acura with Nevada license plate 922V73. He was considered armed and dangerous.

At 6:15 a.m. on Friday, February 14, 2025, Mineral County Sheriff’s Office deputies apprehended Dillishaw after a brief vehicle pursuit. He was taken into custody and is being held at the Mineral County Jail in Hawthorne on a murder charge related to Wilkinson’s death.
