Gang Behind Jewellery Shop Robbery in Sector 7 Arrested 5 Suspects Detained

A police raid on Tuesday led to the arrest of five individuals in connection with the jewellery shop robbery in Sector 7, committed earlier this year. The accused, identified as Rizwan (29), Mohammed Ahmed (45), Mubin alias Bablu (35), Irshad (25), and Saurabh Verma (29), hail from two districts in Uttar Pradesh: Bijnor and Amroha.

Saurabh Verma is believed to have masterminded the heist, where four of the gang members entered the jewellery shop wearing masks, while the fifth waited outside. In just ten minutes, the gang made off with Rs 2 lakh in cash, 50 grams of gold jewellery, 10 kilograms of silver items, and 350 gemstones. The robbery occurred on January 7.

The arrested suspects are currently being interrogated, and the police are working to recover the stolen items, weapons, and vehicles used during the crime.
