Gainesville Couple Arrested for Drug Trafficking in Traffic Stop

Katie Nicole Johnson, 43, and Curtis Shane Hill, 43, both from Gainesville, Georgia, were arrested on drug trafficking charges following a traffic stop on Tuesday. The arrest came after a search of their vehicle, assisted by a Gainesville Police Department canine unit and the Georgia State Patrol.

During the search, authorities allegedly discovered 15 grams of marijuana, 16 grams of prescription pills, and one gram of suspected methamphetamine. As a result, both Johnson and Hill were taken into custody.

They now face several serious charges, including trafficking in marijuana, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of hydrocodone, possession of schedule IV drugs, possession of marijuana (less than 1 ounce), and possession of a schedule I controlled substance.
