G. Murukan Arrested After 3 Years in ISRO Job Scam

After three years on the run, G. Murukan (55), a native of Tholiyakod, was arrested by Kerala police for embezzling Rs1.5 crore under the guise of offering jobs at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). Murukan, who had duped several people during the COVID-19 pandemic, was apprehended at a bar in Nedumangad on Sunday after being recognized by locals who promptly informed the police.

The victims, who never received the promised jobs, directly inquired at ISRO and realized they had been deceived. Following multiple complaints, a police investigation was launched, leading to Murukan’s arrest by the Valiyamala Police. Over 25 complaints were lodged against him, and he has since been remanded after being produced in court.
