Four Men Face Charges After Meadowvale Drive Altercation

VICKSBURG, Miss. – Four men involved in a violent altercation on Meadowvale Drive on December 16, 2019, appeared before Judge Angela Carpenter in Vicksburg Municipal Court on December 18, where their bonds were set. All four suspects have been bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury.

Jeremy Jermaine Johnson, 31, was charged with felony possession of marijuana and aggravated assault. His bond was set at $55,000. Police say Johnson shot an intruder, Jamaris Demond McDaniel, inside his home before fleeing the scene.

McDaniel, 19, along with Lamar Dewayne Gray Jr., 18, and Demond Kentrell Thomas, 18, were each charged with conspiracy to commit a crime and burglary of a dwelling. Their bonds were set at $80,000 each.

Authorities say Johnson returned home to find the three men inside. He then shot McDaniel, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries, was treated and released into police custody.

The case remains under investigation, with all four suspects awaiting further legal proceedings.
