In a significant drug bust, the police arrested four individuals, including three women, on Thursday in Bishnah, seizing 40.5 grams of heroin and some sharp-edged weapons. The accused have been identified as Parveen Kumar alias “Pinna”, Rekha Kumari alias “Kajal”, Jyoti Bala alias “Ramta”, and Rashmi Langeh, all residents of the village of Chorli, Bishnah.
The arrests were made based on a tip-off, with the police stating that the individuals were part of a network responsible for distributing drugs to local youth. The police have registered a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and the Arms Act at the Bishnah police station.
Further investigations are ongoing, as the authorities continue to crack down on the drug menace. The police also urged the public to report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station to aid in the fight against drug trafficking.
