Four Arrested in Lawrence County Drug Bust After Months-Long Investigation

LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ala. — Four individuals were arrested in Lawrence County after a months-long drug sales investigation conducted by the Lawrence County VICE Narcotics Unit. The operation targeted criminal activity in the Speake community, which had been the subject of numerous complaints from local residents.

Following the investigation, law enforcement executed search warrants that led to the seizure of over 100 grams of methamphetamine, 6 grams of synthetic marijuana, 14 grams of marijuana, multiple firearms, and various drug-related paraphernalia.

The following individuals were arrested as a result of the operation:

Maggie Hanna – Charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Marijuana – 2nd Degree (no bond amount available)
Thabiti Hill – Charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence (no bond amount available)
Donald Ray Hewlette – Charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Certain Persons Forbidden to Possess a Pistol, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia ($5,500 bond)
Jeremy Orr – Charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine ($10,000 bond)
Each individual was transported to Lawrence County Jail following their arrests.
