On Wednesday, Jabalpur district police arrested four individuals involved in selling banned injections, confiscating a total of 613 vials of intravenous drugs.
Adhartal police station in-charge Rajkumar Khatig received information about a man named Om Patel from Shankar Nagar Suhagi, who was seen carrying a blue bag filled with vials. Upon raiding Patel’s residence, officers discovered the bag contained banned drugs, specifically Pheniramine Maleate and Buprenorphine. Patel was subsequently charged under various sections of the MP Drug Control Act.
In a related incident, Gohalpur police station in-charge Pratiksha Marko reported that a man named Abbu (also known as Abid) was apprehended while attempting to flee with a bag of the same banned drugs after noticing a police patrol.
Additionally, Ghamapur police station in-charge Satish Kumar Andhawa arrested a suspect named Sachin Patel, who was caught near a railway transformer with a bag of banned intravenous drugs.
Another arrest was made by Hanumantal police station in-charge Dheeraj Raj, involving a man identified as Babu Sonkar, who was also found carrying vials of the prohibited substances.
This operation is part of a broader campaign against drug traffickers and sellers, initiated following directives from Superintendent of Police Aditya Pratap Singh.
