Four Arrested in Crawford County After Stolen Sawmill Recovered
Crawford County, WI – Four individuals from southwestern Wisconsin were arrested after a stolen sawmill, valued at several thousand dollars, was recovered by authorities.
On December 7, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office received a tip regarding the theft of a sawmill from a property in the Township of Haney, Crawford County. The office immediately collaborated with neighboring agencies, including the Richland and Grant County Sheriff’s Offices, to investigate the case.
The investigation led to a search warrant for a property on Rusty Lane in Blue River, Richland County. On December 15, officers from all three sheriff’s offices executed the search warrant, resulting in the recovery of the stolen sawmill and the arrest of several suspects.
The arrested individuals, all from Blue River, were charged with felony theft, bail jumping, possession of stolen property, and party to a crime. The following people were taken into custody:
Rusty Jones, 62 years old
Riley Jenson, 28 years old
Brandon Mohr, 30 years old
Elizabeth Gehler, 28 years old
