Four Arrested in Connection with Murder of Girish Karadigudda in Garag

Garag police have arrested four youths in connection with the murder of Girish Karadigudda, who was attacked and stabbed on December 3 as he was entering his house in Garag, Dharwad taluk, in broad daylight.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Khandoba Patadari (26), Akash Madappanavar (19), Prajwal Wodeyar (19), and Manjunath Chikkoppa (20). They were taken into custody within 48 hours of the crime. The suspects were later produced before the court, which remanded them to judicial custody.

The case was initiated when Girish’s wife, Deepa, lodged a complaint at Garag Police Station. During their investigation, the police apprehended the four youths. Girish, who was involved in a small-time real estate business, is believed to have had a quarrel with one of the accused prior to the murder. However, the exact motive behind the crime has not yet been determined, according to a senior police officer.
