Four Arrested for Smuggling Opium Targeting College Students

Four individuals were arrested on charges of smuggling and peddling opium, specifically targeting college students in the city. The police managed to seize 1.3kg of opium, five mobile phones, two weighing machines, and a two-wheeler from the suspects.

The arrested men were identified as Dinesh Choudary (32) from MKB Nagar, Chetan Singh (38) from Govindappa Street in Mannadi, and Chenna Ram (48) from Seven Wells. Following their interrogation, the police tracked down the fourth suspect, Prem Prakash (39), a resident of Secretariat Colony near Tambaram.

After being presented before a magistrate court, the four men were remanded in judicial custody. The investigation is ongoing, and the authorities are working to uncover more details about the extent of the drug network.
