Four Arrested for Murder After Shooting in West San Jose

Four individuals, including a juvenile, were arrested on suspicion of murder following a robbery and shooting in West San Jose late Monday night.

Around 11:55 p.m., San Jose police responded to reports of a person down in the 1000 block of Saratoga Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male who was unconscious and not breathing. He was pronounced dead at the scene, with authorities withholding his identity pending notification of next of kin.

This incident marks the 25th homicide in San Jose for 2024.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim was robbed by four suspects, who assaulted him and shot him at least once during the incident. Detectives quickly identified three adults and a 17-year-old juvenile as the primary suspects, leading to their arrests on suspicion of murder.

The adult suspects have been identified as 36-year-old Daniel Andino, 19-year-old Jose Andino, and 18-year-old Amelia Sistrunk. The identity of the juvenile suspect remains undisclosed.

According to jail records, the adult suspects are being held without bail, with their next court appearance scheduled for Thursday.
