Former Natchitoches Employee Arrested for Fuel Theft

NATCHITOCHES, LA – Nathan Holmes, 21, a former employee of the Natchitoches Police Department, has been arrested and accused of fuel theft. The arrest followed an investigation into improper fuel purchases made using a city-issued fuel card.

On January 10, 2025, around 2:44 p.m., the Utility Department contacted the Natchitoches Police Department (NPD) regarding the theft. Investigators determined that Holmes had been using the city-issued fuel card to make several unauthorized fuel purchases.

Following the investigation, Holmes was arrested on January 17, 2025, and issued a City Court summons. The case is under further review as authorities continue to investigate.
