Former Legacy High School Cheer Coach Arrested on Theft Charges

Jordan Nichelle Ingram, the former head cheer coach at Legacy High School, was arrested on theft charges after discrepancies in the school’s cheer program funds were discovered.

The Wichita Falls ISD reported that in December, administrators identified missing funds associated with the cheer program. Following this, the administration launched an investigation in accordance with district procedures, which led to the WFISD Police Department being alerted. The investigation revealed that the missing funds were likely misappropriated, rather than lost accidentally.

Ingram, 23, was arrested and is being held at the Wichita County Jail on a charge of theft, specifically for an amount over $750 but less than $20,000. A $25,000 bail has been recommended, though it has not yet been set. The charge was enhanced due to her status as a public servant.

Ingram, who was hired by the district in March 2024, had previously served as the cheerleading captain at Midwestern State University. The district’s press release referred to Ingram as a “former WFISD employee” and alleged she mishandled funds related to fundraising activities.

As per legal standards, Ingram is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
