Former CHP Officer Jordan Lester Arrested for Workers’ Compensation Fraud

Jordan Lester, a former California Highway Patrol (CHP) officer, has been arrested in Quincy on suspicion of committing workers’ compensation fraud. Lester, 44, filed an insurance claim in July 2021 and was placed off work by his doctor in January 2022. However, an anonymous tip triggered an investigation into his activities.

According to the investigation, Lester engaged in activities that violated his doctor’s work restrictions, amounting to workers’ compensation fraud. Additionally, investigators allege that Lester committed perjury by misrepresenting the price of a vehicle he purchased.

Lester has been booked into Plumas County Jail, and the CHP announced his arrest on Tuesday.
