Chattanooga, Tenn. (WDEF) — Kenya White, a former teacher at Chattanooga Preparatory School, has been arrested and is facing several serious charges, including kidnapping, sexual exploitation of a minor by electronic means, and solicitation of a minor.
In response to the arrest, Chattanooga Preparatory School released the following statement:
“Chattanooga Preparatory School is deeply troubled by the recent arrest of a former employee. The safety and well-being of our scholars remain our top priority, and we are treating this matter with the utmost seriousness. We are cooperating with law enforcement and conducting a thorough internal review. As this is an open investigation, we cannot provide further comment at this time.”
The indictment states that the alleged incident took place on or around February 15, 2023, over two years ago. Investigations are still ongoing, and law enforcement is working to gather further details related to the charges.
