Florida Woman Sentenced for Soliciting Murder of Family Members

Tureygua Inaru, a 31-year-old woman from Florida, has been sentenced to 30 months in prison after pleading guilty to multiple charges, including three counts of criminal solicitation to commit first-degree murder. Court records show that Inaru attempted to hire fellow inmates to kill her family members, hoping to inherit approximately $2 million. Following her prison sentence, Inaru will face eight years of supervised probation.

The charges stem from an investigation that began in December 2022 when deputies from the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office received a tip about Inaru’s plot. She was accused of soliciting two other inmates to murder her parents and grandparents. Additionally, she allegedly sought to have an assistant state attorney killed. Inaru reportedly used social media and online platforms to cyberstalk the assistant state attorney, claiming she wanted him to “suffer” and didn’t care if his family was harmed in the process.

Authorities launched a covert operation, sending an undercover detective into the Osceola County Department of Corrections in January 2023. The detective posed as an inmate and interacted with Inaru. Although she initially denied the solicitation, she later confessed to attempting to hire a hitman during an interview.

In March 2023, law enforcement secured an arrest warrant for Inaru, who had been incarcerated on a zero bond since December 2022. In addition to the charges of solicitation to commit murder, Inaru was also charged with cyberstalking and making threats to kill or cause bodily harm.

The 30-month sentence reflects the severity of Inaru’s actions, which included threats to her own family and a public official.
