Florida Woman Heather Nelson Arrested for Stealing from 83-Year-Old

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Heather Nelson on multiple charges after she allegedly assaulted and stole items from an 83-year-old woman. The incident took place earlier this week, and Nelson now faces a range of serious charges, including robbery, fraud, forgery, and aggravated battery.

Police say Nelson had been working as a house cleaner for the elderly woman and demanded a $500 Christmas bonus. When the 83-year-old woman explained she didn’t have enough money, Nelson reportedly wrenched the woman’s checkbook from her hand and stole checks, including one for $1,400. She also took Christmas cards containing additional checks set to be mailed out.

Further investigation revealed Nelson had used the elderly woman’s credit card to pay her rent and make other purchases. In total, Nelson has been charged with robbery, aggravated battery on a person over 65, forgery, credit card fraud, and grand theft.

Nelson was arrested on January 7 and booked into the Brevard County Jail, where she is currently being held on a $30,000 bond.
