Five Members of Haryana Gang Arrested in Thrissur ATM Thefts

In a significant breakthrough, the Thrissur police have apprehended five individuals from a gang based in Haryana, who were allegedly involved in breaking into three ATM kiosks in the early hours of September 27. The police secured the custody of the accused on Friday, with the investigation now underway.

The suspects have been identified as Irfan (32) from Dwaraka Puri, Sowkeen Khan (23) from Mallai, Sabeer (26) from Kudavali, Mubarak (18) from Lacknakar, and Muhammed Ikram (42) from Bisru. Mubarak, who worked as the cleaner of the container truck used during the attempted getaway, was also taken into custody.

The gang had reportedly attempted to flee in a container truck after carrying out the ATM heists. The police team acted swiftly and managed to track down the culprits involved in the crime.

This arrest is part of ongoing efforts to crack down on ATM thefts in the region. Authorities are continuing their investigations into the gang’s activities.
