In a recent development, police in Puri, Odisha, have arrested five individuals connected to the brutal double murder of Prakash Swain and his son, Rabi Swain. The tragedy occurred due to an ongoing land dispute between the Swains and the accused, lasting for the past six months.
According to Sushil Kumar Mishra, the Additional SP of Puri, the suspects intercepted Prakash and Rabi while they were returning home on Wednesday night. The attackers used knives and sharp weapons in a violent assault that led to both victims’ deaths.
After receiving a complaint from the Swain family, the police launched an investigation, which culminated in a raid and the arrest of the five accused. The arrested individuals have been identified as Jatadhari Pradhan, Balia Pradhan, Jaga Pradhan, Ratani Pradhan, and a minor boy. The police are continuing their investigation into the case.
