Five Arrested in MDMA Smuggling Operation in Konaje

The CCB Police arrested five individuals in an operation targeting MDMA smuggling in the Nettilapadavu area, within the limits of the Konaje Police Station. Acting on a tip-off, the police seized 70 grams of MDMA worth Rs3.5 lakh from the suspects.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Abdul Shakir (24) from Shivamogga, Hasan Ashir (34) from Kunjattur, Riyaz AK (31) from Payyanur, Naushad (22) from Pavoor, and Yasin Imran alias Imbu (35) from Kunjattur.

Along with the drugs, police also recovered five mobile phones and a digital weighing machine used for measuring the illegal substance. A case has been registered at the Konaje Police Station, and investigations are ongoing.
