Five Arrested in BDA Fraud Case Linked to P Mallesh

The Seshadripuram police have arrested five individuals in connection with a forgery and attempted fraud case against the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA). These arrests followed a complaint filed by BDA Deputy Superintendent of Police P Mallesh, who alleged that the accused submitted fake documents to claim Rs70 crore in compensation for a property.

The investigation revealed that the suspects aimed to settle a property owned by Moodlappa by creating fictitious documents, falsely asserting that they were relatives of the original owner. This scheme involved the manipulation of records for six acres of land in Challaghatta. Among those arrested are Bharat and Swamy.

Nagaraj is currently in police custody for further questioning, while the other suspects have been remanded to judicial custody.

The case has also implicated several officials from the BDA and the Revenue Department. Notices have been issued to relevant authorities, including the Tehsildar and Land Acquisition Officers, as part of the investigation, with some officials reportedly unreachable
