Five Arrested for Gold Jewellery Theft in Dharmanagar, Mangaluru

he Ullal police have successfully arrested five individuals, including two minors, in connection with a significant gold jewellery theft that occurred in Dharmanagar. The theft, which took place between June 8 and June 16, involved the stealing of jewellery worth over Rs15 lakh from the home of Sridhar, a resident of Dharmanagar.

The accused have been identified as Shreyas Beltangady, Prithviraj Urva, Tauseef Beltangady, along with two minors. The stolen gold jewellery, including a chain, necklace, bracelet, rings, earrings, and bangles weighing over 32 pavans, was later sold to various jewellery shops in Mangaluru. All the stolen items have been successfully recovered.

Sridhar reported the theft to the Ullal police station, leading to an investigation under the leadership of Ullal Police Inspector Balakrishna. The case, which was pursued with the guidance of Mangaluru’s Police Commissioner Anupam Agarwal, Deputy Commissioner of Police Siddharth Goyal, Deputy Commissioner of Police B.P. Dinesh Kumar, and ACP South Dhanya Nayak, resulted in the arrest of the accused.

The police operation demonstrates the effectiveness of their swift response and diligent investigation, ensuring that the stolen valuables were recovered, and the criminals were apprehended.
