Fernando Gilbert-Olivarez and Lisa Ann Dolobacs Arrested After Theft and Police Pursuit at Park Meadows Mall

LONE TREE, Colo. — Fernando Gilbert-Olivarez, 32, and Lisa Ann Dolobacs, 37, were arrested on Tuesday evening after a theft at Park Meadows Mall and a subsequent police pursuit, according to the Lone Tree Police Department.

The incident began when Gilbert-Olivarez entered the Dillard’s store at Park Meadows Mall around 6:17 p.m., where he shoplifted a $600 item. Store employees reported the theft to police, prompting officers to respond to the scene.

After committing the theft, Gilbert-Olivarez allegedly walked to an SUV, pulled a woman from the driver’s seat, and drove off with her in the vehicle. Officers quickly set up a tire deflation device under one of the SUV’s tires, causing it to go flat as police pursued the vehicle.

The SUV eventually lost control near the intersection of Yosemite Street and East Panorama Circle in Arapahoe County, where it ended up on its side, traveling on three tires and one rim. Officers arrested Gilbert-Olivarez, who was charged with theft, motor vehicle theft, and eluding. He also faced charges for a previous eluding warrant.

Upon further investigation, authorities discovered that Dolobacs, who was with Gilbert-Olivarez, had been removed from the SUV during the incident. She was arrested for theft, false reporting to authorities, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police also confirmed Dolobacs was wanted on several outstanding warrants.

Both suspects were taken into custody, and investigations continue.
