The Fatehpur Sadar police in Sikar district successfully apprehended three individuals, including the prime suspect, in connection with the murder of Gopal Singh on January 1. The incident occurred in Dinwa Ladkhani village. The arrested suspects, Satya and Devidutt (alias Tony Gurjar), were taken into custody on Friday and are set to be presented in court.
The suspects had managed to evade capture for several weeks, even mocking the police on social media. Despite this, their whereabouts were traced using mobile location data, leading to their arrest after an 800-kilometre chase.
According to Additional Superintendent of Police, Gajendra Singh Jodha, Satya, a history-sheeter, and his accomplice Devidutt were involved in a violent altercation with liquor contractor Bhawani Singh over a dispute involving free alcohol. This confrontation in Dinwa Ladkhani village ultimately led to Gopal Singh’s tragic murder.
