Fargo Teen Sentenced for Attempted Robbery and Drug Charges

Jeremiah Nordby, a Fargo teenager, has been sentenced following a June 7 incident in which he attempted to rob a man who was meeting an online acquaintance at a local hotel. Court documents reveal that Nordby, with accomplice Sariah Jennings, set up the meeting under the guise of an online relationship between Jennings and the victim. However, Nordby showed up armed, attempting to rob the victim. The victim managed to push Nordby out and call 911, leading to their arrest days later.

Sentencing and Charges:

  • Robbery: Nordby pleaded guilty to charges of robbery, preventing arrest, and possession with intent to deliver marijuana. An additional drug charge was dropped.
  • Sentence: 2.5 years in prison, with credit for approximately four months served, followed by two years of supervised probation.

Sariah Jennings, charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, faces trial in April next year.
