Fargo Man Faces New Robbery Charge for Alleged Cell Phone Theft

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR/KFGO) — A 21-year-old Fargo man, Fidele Ndaruhutse, is facing a new robbery charge after allegedly taking a cell phone from a student near Fargo South High School.

According to a criminal complaint, Ndaruhutse approached the student in October while they were walking home from school. He demanded that the student make a call, and then proceeded to take the student’s phone. Ndaruhutse is also accused of punching the student in the chest and threatening to stab them during the incident.

This charge comes after Ndaruhutse was arrested in November in connection with an earlier robbery, where he allegedly attempted to force a woman into sex acts before robbing her.
