Mangaluru city police arrested a 51-year-old man on Wednesday in connection with the murder of a 13-year-old girl, which occurred on Tuesday in Jokatte.
The accused, identified as Fakirappa Hanumappa Madar, hails from Parasgad in Belagavi district. He was reportedly close to the victim’s uncle and had been living near the uncle’s residence in Jokatte.
