Fake Police Personnel Arrested in Amreli by Local Crime Branch

In a surprising turn of events, Umesh Vasava, a 31-year-old man from Chitpur village, Tapi district, was arrested by the Amreli Local Crime Branch (LCB) for impersonating a police officer. Vasava was found wearing a police uniform, complete with a cap, belt, and boots. He was apprehended on Wednesday, after the LCB grew suspicious and decided to question him.

Upon searching Vasava, police recovered his mobile phone and Rs1000 in cash, bringing the total seized amount to Rs4000. The LCB initiated questioning to uncover whether Vasava had used his fake police identity for any fraudulent activities. However, as of now, no specific incidents of fraud or deception have been discovered in relation to him.

A formal complaint has been filed against Vasava, and an investigation is ongoing to determine if he had been involved in any further illegal activities under the guise of a police officer.
