In a shocking domestic violence incident in Tampa, Faith Thomas, 26, and Donald Roberts, 28, were arrested after gunshots were fired through a neighbor’s home, putting innocent lives at risk.
Hillsborough County deputies responded to a report of gunfire from an apartment, breaching the front door after receiving no response. Inside, they discovered one man, two women, and two children unharmed.
While officers were on-site, a nearby resident reported a bullet hole in their window, which led to the discovery that the bullet had traveled through their living room wall.
Thomas later admitted to firing the gun from a balcony in an attempt to get Roberts to leave.
Sheriff Chad Chronister condemned the use of firearms in such situations, stressing the danger posed to innocent individuals.
Thomas has been charged with shooting at, within, or into a building, and discharging a firearm on residential property. Roberts faces a charge of battery.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation into the incident.
