Fahad Ibrahim Mohamed Charged with Attempted Fraud of KSh 3.9M

Fahad Ibrahim Mohamed, an employee of Beyt Properties Limited, is facing fraud charges in a Nairobi court, accused of attempting to defraud Alliance Concrete Limited, a company specializing in construction materials, of KSh 3.9 million. Mohamed, who was arraigned before Magistrate Dolphina Alego at Milimani Law Courts, denied the charges against him.

The prosecution alleges that between May 26 and July 20, 2024, Mohamed fraudulently obtained 307 cubic meters of ready-mixed concrete, including C30 and C25 grades, from Alliance Concrete Limited, with the intention of defrauding the company. The total value of the stolen materials was KSh 3,923,564. Mohamed is said to have falsely claimed that he would pay for the goods but failed to do so, leading the company to report the matter to authorities.

Following his arraignment, Mohamed was granted a KSh 1 million bond, with an alternative cash bail of KSh 700,000. The prosecution plans to present four witnesses against him during the trial.
