Eugene Hopkins Arrested in Major Jefferson County Drug Bust

JEFFERSON COUNTY, OH – A 34-year-old Steubenville man is in custody following a major drug bust on Monday morning that resulted in the seizure of drugs, firearms, and thousands in cash.

Investigation & Arrest
👮 The Jefferson County Drug Task Force, alongside the Steubenville Police Department, the Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commission, and the Jefferson County Special Response Team, conducted a two-month investigation leading up to the arrests.

👮 On March 24, 2025, authorities executed search warrants at 234 Murphy Avenue and 460 S. 5th Street in Steubenville.

👮 Eugene Douglas Hopkins (34) was arrested at the Murphy Avenue residence without incident.

📦 131 grams of crack and powder cocaine

⚖️ Hopkins is set to appear in Steubenville Municipal Court to face multiple charges.

Authorities continue investigating the case and have not ruled out additional arrests.
