Ethan Campbell Arrested for Brutal Fort Collins Apartment Attack

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Ethan Campbell, an 18-year-old man, was arrested on Thursday at Fort Collins High School, nearly nine months after a woman was brutally attacked in her apartment. The victim, who endured severe injuries during the attack, recalled in an exclusive CBS News Colorado interview, “He was trying to kill me. I thought I was going to die. I lost consciousness. I thought that was it.”

Campbell faces multiple charges, including attempted murder, assault, and burglary. Although he was a juvenile at the time of the incident, authorities have charged him as an adult due to the seriousness of the crime.

In November 2024, the victim publicly shared her experience along with Fort Collins Police Services’ assistant chief, hoping to generate leads. Just last month, a witness came forward with crucial information that connected Campbell to the assault. The tipster’s encounter with a man in the same apartment complex as the victim led police to Campbell, ultimately resulting in his arrest.
