Erin Strotman Arrested for Child Abuse at Virginia Hospital

Erin Elizabeth Ann Strotman, a 26-year-old woman from Chesterfield County, was arrested early Friday morning following an investigation into suspicious injuries found in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital. Strotman, a former employee, has been charged with malicious wounding and felony child abuse.

The investigation began after three babies were discovered with unexplained fractures. The injuries were similar to an incident in 2023 involving four infants. Authorities are reviewing video footage from the NICU taken in December 2024 and earlier.

Strotman was booked into jail at 1:15 a.m. and is scheduled to appear in court on March 24. The investigation is ongoing, with multiple agencies involved.
