On January 23, 2024, the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit, with help from the Chapman Police Department, executed a search warrant at a residence in the 2500 Block of Nicholson Road in Chapman. The search was part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.
During the operation, authorities seized THC edible products, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and firearms. Emma Gomez was arrested at the scene and booked into the Dickinson County Detention Facility.
Gomez faces several charges, including possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine and marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school, unlawful manufacturing of controlled substances, aggravated endangering a child, and possession of drug paraphernalia within 1,000 feet of a school. Additionally, she is charged with criminal possession of weapons and failure to affix a drug tax stamp.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office reminds the public that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
