Elisha Kirby Charged with Second-Degree Murder in OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma City police have arrested a woman in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on Friday, May 30.

Officers responded late that night to the 4700 block of Sunnyview Drive, where they found Billy Sorrels suffering from a gunshot wound. Sorrels was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation revealed that Elisha Kirby had fired a weapon from the doorway of her home. The bullet traveled through the wall of Sorrels’ residence, fatally striking him.

Kirby was taken into custody and charged with second-degree murder in connection with the incident.
