Eliezer Santana Wanted for Fatal Hazleton Shooting

HAZLETON, Pa. — Authorities are still searching for 18-year-old Eliezer Santana, who is wanted for his involvement in a fatal shooting in Hazle Township that occurred on April 14, 2023. Santana is facing criminal homicide and felony aggravated assault charges following the death of 18-year-old Rolando K. Cepeda.

The Shooting Incident

State Police responded to Professional Auto Repair on West 23rd Street in Hazle Township after reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found Cepeda had been shot multiple times. Tragically, Cepeda succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

Three Suspects Involved

Santana, along with Ismael Valdez Batista of Mahanoy City and Reymer Gonzales of Hazleton, was allegedly involved in the shooting. Batista pleaded guilty to attempted homicide in September, while Gonzales is awaiting trial for his role in the incident.

Santana Remains at Large

Eliezer Santana is still at large, and state police are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward.
