Eight Drug Peddlers Arrested in Trichy, Methamphetamine Seized

Trichy district police have arrested eight drug addicts and peddlers in the Kollidam area, Trichy, on Thursday. The arrested individuals were found in possession of methamphetamine and several electronic gadgets. The police operation was carried out by a special team based on information gathered from the SP’s helpline number.

The arrested individuals include R Manikandan (23) from Thanjavur, S Siju (33) from Palakkad, Kerala, S Balasubramanian (38) from Chennai, S Vinod Kumar (28) and M Subeer Ahamed (37) from Trichy, V Parthibaraj (31) from Salem, and B Praveen Kumar (42) from Karnataka. Another associate, Jayaprakash from Bengaluru, managed to flee during the operation.

The police seized 21 grams of methamphetamine, sodium chloride solution, 10 syringes, 16 grams of gold coins, six mobile phones, a camera, two wallets, a modem, and a vehicle during the raid.

The operation was led by Inspector C Dhayalan, and the police are continuing their investigation into the activities of the arrested individuals.
