Edward Davis Arrested for Felony Assault in Aberdeen

ABERDEEN, NC — On December 20, 2024, the Aberdeen Police Department arrested 43-year-old Edward Davis of Aberdeen after responding to multiple disturbance calls in the Bradford Drive and Pecan Grove Drive area.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with witnesses and canvassed the area to locate the source of the disturbance. They eventually located Davis and an adult female inside an apartment, where a domestic dispute had allegedly occurred.

Following an investigation, it was determined that Davis had assaulted the female, leading to his arrest on felony charges of assault by strangulation and a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence.

Davis was brought before a Moore County magistrate, who denied bond and set a court hearing with a judicial official.

The Aberdeen Police Department continues to investigate the case as part of its commitment to addressing domestic violence in the community.
