EAST WENATCHEE, WA — Two suspected burglars were arrested early last week after a string of events led to the discovery of drugs and over $2,000 worth of stolen goods.
According to East Wenatchee Police Chief Rick Johnson, the arrests took place on the morning of February 10. Officers spotted Ryan Parra, 26, carrying a Coleman minibike, which matched the description of an item stolen from Coastal Farm & Ranch. A second suspect, Angel Elias, 29, was found hiding nearby with a large pair of bolt cutters. Officers also discovered a large hole in the fence at Coastal Farm & Ranch, confirming a burglary.
Parra was immediately taken into custody on charges of 2nd degree burglary, 2nd degree theft, 3rd degree malicious mischief, and possession of burglary tools. Elias was arrested on February 12, facing the same charges.
Following these arrests, officers obtained a search warrant and conducted a search at a residence on the 700 block of N Baker Ave. The search led to the discovery of powdered fentanyl, methamphetamine, counterfeit oxycodone pills, a stolen handgun, and over $2,000 worth of stolen Dewalt power tools.
Two additional arrests were made during the search, with one individual having an active warrant and another in violation of a protection order.
