PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Amanda Rose Leonardo, a 36-year-old employee of the Eagle Point School District, was arrested on Thursday following accusations of sexual abuse. The arrest followed a month-long investigation led by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
Leonardo faces multiple charges, including three counts of third-degree sexual abuse, luring a minor, tampering with physical evidence, and providing alcohol to a minor.
Authorities clarified that the victims involved were high school-aged, but noted that the charges are not related to her role within the school district.
The case remains under investigation. Authorities are urging anyone with additional information to contact the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
