Duluth Man Arrested for Car Dealership Burglary and Theft
Kaderries Johnson, 24, of Duluth, is facing several charges after being accused of burglarizing a Mercedes Benz dealership and stealing a car in early December. Johnson has been charged with three counts of Burglary in the Second Degree, three counts of Loitering and Prowling, three counts of Misdemeanor Theft by Taking, and one count of Motor Vehicle Theft.

The incident began in the early morning hours of December 3 when Johnson was spotted walking around the dealership. Initially, he attempted to enter the showroom but later moved to the service area, where he took a bottle of water. At 2:40 a.m., an officer observed Johnson walking around the parking lot and warned him about possible loitering and prowling. At the time, the officer was unaware that Johnson had entered the building.

Detectives believe Johnson was looking for the key fobs to the vehicles. He returned to the dealership later that evening and was seen pulling on the building’s doors, one of which was found unlocked. After being confronted by employees, Johnson left the premises.

Over the next few days, Johnson continued to return to the dealership. On December 4, he was criminally trespassed from the business by Gwinnett Police Officers. Despite this, he returned the following day, December 5, and was again seen loitering around the dealership.

On December 7, Johnson allegedly stole three key fobs and a 2025 Mercedes Benz from the dealership’s parking lot. The following day, on December 9, Gwinnett Police detectives learned that Warwick Police had impounded the stolen Mercedes after a traffic stop. At the time, the car had not yet been reported as stolen, and Johnson had been driving the vehicle but was released at the scene.

Johnson’s criminal activities didn’t end there. On December 11, he was found loitering near a Chrysler dealership by Albany Police, leading to his arrest. He is currently in custody at the Dougherty County jail and faces multiple charges in connection to the car theft and burglaries.

The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities are working to determine if Johnson may be connected to additional incidents.
