Drug Peddler Kuljit Singh Arrested with 255 Grams of Heroin by Khalra Police

On Wednesday, Khalra police arrested Kuljit Singh, a drug peddler with cross-border contacts, after recovering 255 grams of heroin from him. Kuljit Singh, a resident of Kalsian Khurd village, was apprehended in the grain market in Khalra.

ASI Nirmal Singh explained that Kuljit Singh was moving suspiciously on a motorcycle when the police, on patrol duty, stopped him for questioning. During the search, the heroin consignment was found in his possession.

The police revealed that Kuljit Singh had been in contact with drug peddlers across the border and had arranged for the heroin to be brought through illegal channels. He used his mobile phone to establish these connections. A case under Sections 21-C, 61, and 85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against him, and further investigations are underway.
