Dominique Jones and Marco Young Arrested After Tulsa Shooting Incident

TULSA, Okla. — Two men, Dominique Jones and Marco Young, are behind bars after being accused of following a victim home and opening fire in Tulsa earlier this year.

Court records indicate that on January 18, the victim was at a QuikTrip gas station located near 46th Street North and Lewis Avenue. The victim noticed a man exit the passenger side of a sedan and stare at him. As the victim was leaving, he realized the sedan was following him. He approached the driver, later identified as 33-year-old Dominique Jones, to inquire about the situation. A heated argument ensued, and the victim drove away.

After the confrontation, the victim reported that Jones continued to follow him all the way to his home near 46th Street North and Peoria, even running a red light in the process. Once outside the residence, Jones’ passenger, identified as 22-year-old Marco Young, allegedly exited the sedan and began shooting at the victim. The victim and his girlfriend were unharmed but drove off with bullet holes in their car. Neighbors reported hearing gunshots, and several bullets were found to have struck the victim’s home.

Surveillance footage from the QuikTrip and a nearby house, along with Flock camera data, helped investigators trace the sedan back to Jones, whose vehicle was registered in his name. A search warrant was then issued for Jones’ and Young’s phones, which confirmed their presence at both the gas station and the crime scene.

Both Jones and Young have criminal records, including prior convictions for violent offenses and the use of firearms in threatening situations. According to jail records, they were taken into custody on Thursday morning.

Jones now faces multiple charges, including shooting with intent to kill, discharging a weapon into a dwelling or public place, using a vehicle in the discharge of a weapon, and possession of a firearm after a felony conviction. Young faces similar charges, including two counts of possession of a firearm after a felony conviction.

Both men are being held at Tulsa County Jail with bonds set at $100,000 each.
