Dindigul Man Arrested for Jewellery Theft During Painting Job Near Sulur

On Tuesday, C. Sahayaraj, a 30-year-old man from Dindigul district, was arrested for allegedly stealing jewellery from a house near Sulur. Sahayaraj had been hired for wall painting work at the residence of Selvaraj in Nadupalayam, where he reportedly stole three sovereigns of jewellery belonging to Selvaraj’s daughter-in-law. The theft took place last month during the course of his work at the house.

The police acted on a complaint filed by Selvaraj, and after an investigation, Sahayaraj was apprehended. He has since been sent to judicial remand. According to the police, Sahayaraj’s arrest follows a series of inquiries and evidence that led them to identify him as the suspect.
