Dibrugarh Police Arrest Sajid Ullah for Drug Peddling

Dibrugarh Police arrested a notorious drug peddler, Sajid Ullah, and seized 38 grams of suspected brown sugar and heroin during a raid at his residence on Khalihamari Jail Road. The drugs are estimated to be worth Rs 50 lakh.

Acting on a tip-off, a joint police operation led to the arrest of Ullah, who was found in possession of the illegal substances. The police also confiscated a scooty, registration number AS06AD3258, which was used by the peddler to transport the drugs.

“We launched a successful operation based on the intelligence we received and seized approximately 38 grams of brown sugar and heroin from his possession,” a police official stated. Ullah has been charged under the NDPS Act, and authorities are currently interrogating him. He was previously apprehended for similar drug-related offenses.
