Dhubri Police Solve Courier Bag Theft Case, Arrest Mojidul Islam

On March 10, Dhubri Police solved a courier bag theft case within hours of the incident, arresting the accused and recovering the stolen items.

At around 2:30 pm, Somnath Sarkar, a resident of Ward No. 3, reported that his courier delivery bag had been stolen from his bike while he was making a delivery near the Gurudwara in Dhubri. He immediately filed a complaint at Dhubri Police Station, which led to the registration of the case under General Diary Entry No. 347 dated 10/03/2024.

The police quickly launched an investigation, and after reviewing CCTV footage from the area, they identified the suspect as Mojidul Islam (29), son of Habibur Rahman, a resident of Ward No. 10, Bidyapara in Dhubri.

A search operation was conducted under the supervision of Sub-Inspector Jyotirmoy Das of Dhubri Sadar Police Station. By 6:00 pm, the accused was apprehended in the Bidyapara area, and the stolen courier bag was successfully recovered from his possession.

Legal proceedings have been initiated against Mojidul Islam, and the police are continuing with the investigation.
